Roofing Materials To Consider

Different roofing materials

  1. The most popular types of shingles are asphalt and wood shakes. They’re quite durable, but the main reason people select them is because they’re cost efficient. Three-tab or architectural shingles are available. They’re fairly resistant to weather conditions, although they’re not as sturdy as metal shingles.
  1. Wood shingles may cost up to two times as much as asphalt shingles, but if installed correctly, they can last up to 50 years.
  1. Wood framers frequently use timber roofing, which is designed to last a long time. Metal roofs are especially resistant to the elements and can endure up to 100 years, but they may cost as much as four times more than asphalt shingles.
  1. Tile roofs, on the other hand, can endure up to 100 years if they are properly maintained. However, to support the massive weight of the material, additional support is required.
